What Can You Cook?
Spit-roasting whole birds and big cuts of meat results in the perfect combination of juiciness and crispness. But the Rotisserie 2.0 isn't all about meat — a whole salmon, a cauliflower, a squash, even a pineapple will all benefit from the steady turn of a spit.
Indirect Rotisserie Cooking
For long, slow spit roasts, you need indirect heat. The Rotisserie 2.0 sits where the ConvEGGtor normally goes, so this Roasting Pack includes a 2-Piece Multi-Level Rack and Baking Stone that sit beneath the spit to deflect heat instead. If you already own the Multi-Level Rack as part of the EGGspander System, the Baking Stone one size smaller than your EGG is the only piece you would need separately — but both are included here.
How to Set Up the Rotisserie 2.0
Step 1: Set up the Rotisserie — Load and light your Big Green Egg with no cooking surfaces in place. Once up to temperature (not exceeding 315°C), open the Dome and slot the Rotisserie mounts onto the gasket, directly opposite each other, with the black silicone pads resting on the exterior. Fit the larger mount to whichever side suits your power source, slide the motor unit on and plug in via USB-C.
Step 2: Prepare the spit — Slide the first fork onto the spit and position it to accommodate your food centrally. Push the sharp end through the centre of your ingredients, add the second fork, press firmly into the other end and fully tighten the wing screws at each end.
Step 3: Start the Rotisserie — Insert the pointed end of the spit into the motor and rest the handle in the opposite mount. Check the spit is fully seated and spins freely, then switch to ON. Wait for a full rotation to make sure everything is secure.
Step 4: Cook with Dome open or closed — Dome closed gives greater temperature control, ideal for larger cuts or longer cooks — adjust the rEGGulator as needed. Dome open is best for quicker grills and flame-kissed flavour — use less charcoal and keep the Draft Door and rEGGulator closed.

- Tie loose elements such as chicken wings and legs with butcher's twine
- Do not allow the temperature to exceed 315°C — high heat can damage the silicone pads
